There have been 15 seasons of the Indian Premier League Tournament. The 2023 IPL is scheduled to be the fifteenth season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) Tournament. The First Indian Premier League tournament was held in 2007. It is usually held between March and May every Year. 2 New teams of IPL 2022 are added to the list which are Lucknow and Allahabad. IPL 2023 New Teams:

More teams mean bigger IPL and bigger fun for the followers! From IPL 2022 you will see 10 teams playing the IPL 2023. Update: New selected IPL teams are Ahmedabad and Lucknow. The IPL 2023 opening match is likely to be played on 25th March 2023 in Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has decided to add two more new terms for the IPL 2023 tournament. There will be the Mega Audition event before the IPL 2023 match starts.

 In this 16th session of IPL, there will be a total of 74 Matches and each IPL 2023 Team List will play 7 at home and 7 away, which means each team will play a total of 14 matches in this IPL 2023 season. This season will follow the same format as in 2011 when IPL had the 10 teams. The franchises will be divided into two groups of 5 each. In 2011, when there were a total of 10 teams at that time Kochi Tuskers and Pune Warriors were the other two new teams added in another 8 teams. All the 10 teams of IPL 2023 are:

  • Sunrisers Hyderabad

  • Kolkata Knight Riders

  • Royal Challengers Bangalore

  • Chennai Super Kings

  • Mumbai Indians

Group A:  RCB, CSK, KKR, PBKS & Lucknow

Group B:  SRH, MI, DC, RR & Ahmedabad

Here is the IPL full schedule (tentative) considering the current 8 and 2 new teams. Waiting for IPL 2023! There is a total of 74 T20 matches to be played in IPL 2023 as we know that there are 10 teams in IPL 2023. The final match of the tournament is likely to be played on 28 May 2023.

IPL 2022 Venue:

Hopefully, everything will be fine during IPL 2023 and it will be played in India only. UAE is always the alternate favorite location for BCCI to organize IPL and other major tournaments in case of the COVID pedantic.

MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, and Rohit Sharma are the first choices for their respective franchises. Each team can retain a total of four players in their team. If they retain a maximum number of 4 players then they cannot use any RTM cards.
