FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022: Tickets Price, Schedule & Venues
The 2022 edition is set to be the 22nd edition of the competition From November 20 to December 18, 2022, Qatar is the planned location for it. This will be the second Globe Cup to be held entirely in Asia, following the 2002 competition in South Korea as well as Japan. This will be the first World Cup hosted in the Arab world. Qatar will face Ecuador in the opening match of the competition at the Al Bayt Stadium in Al Khor. In addition, the treatment of foreign workers engaged in preparations for the World Cup has also drawn harsh criticism for Qatar, with Amnesty International citing “forced labor” and substandard working conditions. Many migrant workers, however, claim that they have to pay substantial “recruitment fees” to get jobs.
According to a report by The Guardian newspaper, many workers were allegedly deprived of water and food, had their identity cards removed, and were not compensated on time or at all, leading some of them to become slaves. According to The Guardian, by the time the competition was held, 4,000 workers could have died due to poor safety practices and other factors. A minimum wage for all employees and the end of the kafala system are two major labor reforms approved by the Qatari government between 2015 and 2021 in an effort to improve working conditions.
However, Amnesty International claims that the working and living conditions of foreign workers have not changed significantly in recent years.
From November 20 to December 18, Qatar 2022TM will host the FIFA World Cup in Qatar. On April 1, 2022, the preliminary stage draw for the World Cup was held in Doha, Qatar to prepare for the competition. Wales, Australia, and Costa Rica completed the 32-team lineup in June after filling the final three qualification spots.

- From November 20 through December 2, there will be group play. The rounds of 16 will take place from December 3–6, followed by the knockout stage.
- On December 9 and 10, the quarterfinals will take place, and on December 13 and 14, the semifinals. The third-place playoff will take place on December 17, the day before the championship game.
